ATTN: Nina G is home
ABOUT THE WORK I met Nina in grade 4. She was new to the school and wore a white blouse and dress pants to the first day of school. From my earliest conception of her I knew she was straight business, we bonded over our slavic roots and love of pop music. Graduation comes, off goes Nina with her long legs to Italy to get signed as a model and studies fashion. Bitch. Rocks it, walks for Marni and Marine Serre on the regular, and now she’s making music and art through her journey abroad. Nina G comes back to Canada over the holidays, and embarks on a mission to make a music video during her 4 week stay. I say she’s crazy, I’m in.
We took 2 weeks to write, storyboard, and find the crew, my pursuant dream of being a director turning to reality and I’m making a music video with my best friend.

The Final Result ✨
On the coldest day of the year, scheduled filming date proceeded and came with lots of coffee and frozen fingers. The result was perfectly crunchy, raw and authentic to the starving artist. Exposing the garage, showing the realness of masking our dispositions was priority but also showing the class, textures, baddass, pop soul of Nina was necessary.
